Audi’s brightening up the picture significantly with its New 2010 Audi A5 Cabriolet Car, due out next year and previewed for the media today.The New 2010 Audi A5 Cabriolet Car and its V8-powered S5 sibling are considered by many to be the most beautiful Audis ever created. For some time now it’s been common knowledge that an open top variant of Audi’s latest coupe was coming.

The New 2010 Audi A5 Cabriolet Car is one of the few European cars that has as much impact as a convertible as it does as a coupe. Audi’s rounded fender forms have been with us a long time, yet they still capture a sense of modernity that the extruded forms of BMW, the surface flash of Mercedes-Benz and the elaborate proportions of the Infiniti and Lexus convertibles can’t match.

Quick to lose its canvass top, the A5 Cabriolet performs its "top off" stunt in 15 seconds, and "top back on" in 17 seconds through an electric system. The manoeuvres can be done at up to 50km/h (31mph) so no need to park on the side of the road when unexpectedly the heavens shed their tears. A neck-warming function is an option if driver and passenger fancy an open top cruise in cold weather.

As a start, a 1.8 TFSI with 160hp (118kW) provides entry into this segment, followed by a 180hp (132kW), 320Nm option, nicked closely at the heels by a 208hp (155kW) and 350Nm version of the same engine, that hard working 2.0-litre TFSI from the VW Group. At a mid level we see naturally aspirated V6 coming in, 3.0-litre size and making 265hp (195kW) and 330Nm of torque.

For those who love their open-sky driving as much as change in their pocket, Audi is making available two turbo diesels. Both V6 configured, the two are expectedly thriftier than their petrol counterparts. They are listed as a 2.7-litre TDI producing 190hp (140kW) and 400Nm, returning 6.3-litres per 100km, and the 3.0-litre TDI producing 240hp (176kW) and 500Nm of torque.

Top of the range, for now, at least until RS5 Cabriolet bares its teeth, is the S5 Cabriolet. True as predicted it features Audi’s new 3.0-litre supercharged V6 with power figures of 333hp (245kW) and 440Nm. Audi says it will run from standstill to 100km/h in 5.6 seconds, yet retain an average fuel consumption figure of 9.6 litres/100km. Three transmissions come with the A5 range; standard 6-speed manual, infinitely-geared Multitronic and seven-speed double-clutch S tronic, depending on the model.

The A5 and S5 Cabriolet won’t be seen stateside until the New York auto show at the earliest, with the world premiere scheduled for early March at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. The cars are scheduled to arrive in dealer showrooms in the fall 2009 with pricing to come later, though the A5 Cab at least should not be substantially higher than the $40,750 entry price for an A4 Cabriolet.

My personal favorite has to be the top of the line 7 Series, which oozes power and class; the 2010 model boasts a eight cylinder engine with 400 HP.

Aston Martin – Their cars are so chic and sophisticated that international man of style James Bond can be seen driving numerous Aston Martin’s in the Bond movies. Remarkable stand outs in the line include the Vantage V12 (which offers an impressive twelve cylinders for top power!) and the new V8 Vantage N420 roadster which is a fast and gorgeous convertible with beautiful curves, smooth fluid lines and a total of 420 horsepower.

Infiniti – Infiniti is the luxury spin-off line of Nissan. Infiniti is pretty new on the market when compared with the traditional German players but it’s already making a significant impact on the market due to its gorgeous and high performance cars. The manufacturer is noted for its high performance IPL line which is a more affordable alternative to Benz’s AMG line and the M3 series from BMW. The advantage of an Infiniti vehicle is that its service and repair costs tend to be typically much cheaper than its German Rivals. In general, Infiniti is also more competitively priced when compared with BMW and Benz. A stand out is the top of the line M56 which comes equipped with a mighty eight cylinder engine and 420 HP, with the AWD model starting at around $60k.

The 2011 GMC Acadia Denali

New for the 2011 model year is the upcoming GMC Acadia Denali. If you thought the old Denali was a great car, than you haven’t seen this new model. Unveiled at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show; the Acadia was showcased as GMC’s first crossover to get the “Denali” badge.

The Acadia with the Denali spin has some additional but subtle new features. The styling to the new model is also a little different. The most prevalent changes of the exterior are the chrome grille and the changes to the front and back lower fascias. The fascia and fender flares are also the same color as the body. The 2011 Denali also comes with High Intensity Discharge headlamps, body colored lower cladding and rocker moldings, 20 inch wheel, dual chrome exhaust pipes, and, of course, Denali badges.

On the inside, there are heated and cooled driver and passenger seats with leather and matching trim, a head up display, two sunroof systems with a front sliding sunroof and a stationed rear roof, and a leather wrapped steering wheel with wood mahogany accents. The Denali also sports a navigation system, accent lighting, a rearview camera, back-seat DVD entertainment system, and automatic climate control in three areas.

As far as the engine goes, the new model will feature a six speed automatic 288horsepower 3.6 Liter V6 engine. This is the same engine as the other Acadia models. Also offered are front- and all wheel drive options. Buyers can also decide between seven and eight passenger configurations. Fuel economy for the Denali includes 17 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway, for the front wheel drive models, and 16 miles per gallon city driving and 23 miles per gallon highway driving for all wheel drive models. GM hasn’t officially announced the price for the Denali package but its speculated to range from $38,490 to $40,490.

New Popular Car BMW 320d Winter Concept

Though there’s not much left of this winter, German tuner Miranda-Series announced a very good looking winter sport package for the BMW 320d (the current generation, but the version before the facelift). By optimizing the ECU, the tuner managed to increase the 2.0 liter turbo diesel’s power output up to 199 hp. Handling was improved by equipping the car with Eibach Pro-Street-S coilover suspension and Stop-Tech brakes. Other changes include new 19-inch black alloy wheels wrapped in Dunlop winter tires and new Recaro seats. However, there’s one small setback. The package, though it looks good, it’s not that impressive, but instead is priced at €13,544 (almost $18,000), which is a lot.

Rounding off the new Megane family is the Coupe-Cabriolet that was formally introduced today ahead of its world premiere at next month's Geneva Salon. Like its predecessor, the new Megane CC is a two door model with an electric folding top that's mostly covered in smoked glass

The French carmaker claims the Megane CC's transparent glazed area of 0.47 sq. metres is the largest in the segment that includes cars like the Pininfarina-styled Ford Focus CC and the Peugeot 308 CC.
The four-seater convertible version of the new Megane also gets a fixed glass wind deflector located behind the back seat headrests that is said to allow draft-free driving at speeds of up to 90km/h or 56mph.
The fully-automatic, electro-hydraulic operated two-piece glass top goes up or down in 21 seconds at the press of a button with the Megane CC's boot capacity standing at 417 litres with the roof closed, and 211 litres when open.

Depending on the market, the new Megane Coupe-Cabriolet will be available with a choice of up to seven gasoline and diesel powertrains.
The petrol line includes a 110HP 1.6-liter unit linked to a six-speed manual, a 1.4-liter TCe turbo with 130HP matted to a six-speed manual and a 140HP 2.0-liter with a CVT.
Diesel options include the 110HP dCi matted to either a new 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission or to 6-speed manual gearbox and the 130HP dCi and 160HP dCi that both drive the front wheels through a six-speed manual.

Carlsson presents an own developed automobile at this year’s Geneva Motor Show – the Carlsson C25 Limited Super-GT. The concept of this Super-GT is based on the vision of combining maximum driving performance with an entirely new design and high exclusiveness. The result is a breathtaking and beautiful sports coupé with 753 hp in a limited edition of only 25 cars world-wide.
The performance data of the six litre V12 Bi-Turbo is impressive. The high-performance aggregate with a motor management optimisation patented by Carlsson renders 753 hp (554 kW) and allows fast acceleration as well as smooth travels at lower speeds. Also responsible for the perfect performance evolvement is the elaborately developed stainless steel exhaust system with ends in four edgy pipes at the back. The power catapults the C25 with a torque of 1320 Newton metres at 3750 r.p.m. which is electronically limited to 1,150 Newton metres from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.7 seconds and achieves a maximum speed of 352 km/h.
